Andy Milas

Guitar

Andy was born August 11, 1972, two years after his parents moved to Boston from Greece in pursuit of their American Dream. Fifteen years later Andy got his first guitar and he began his pursuit. By sixteen, Andy had joined/formed his first band writing and performing songs heavily influenced by bands like Iron Maiden, Queensryche, and Fates Warning. Since then Andy has written, arranged for and performed in Acoustic Rock, Folk, Jazz, Top 40, Greek, and Progressive Rock bands that have performed at private and public functions in venues throughout New England. He has also performed in a variety of choral groups and choirs and has been a part of many plays and musical theatre companies.

Some of the artists that have inspired Andy and continue to do so are Jim Matheos/Fates Warning, Porcupine Tree, Al DiMeola World Sinfonia, Strunz and Farah, Michael Hedges, George Winston, Avishai Cohen, John Zorn, and Garrison Fewell. And far too many to mention, are the Greek musicians, both past and present that have created some of the greatest music recorded.

Tery Lemanis

Oud/Bouzouki

Tery was born December 12, 1984 in Boston, MA and comes from a long line of musicians. His father George is a drummer, his grandfather Costa was a renowned oudist, singer, and composer and his great grandfather was a well-known clarinetist in Greece. At the age of eight Tery received his first guitar, a yard sale bargain acoustic guitar and three years later he was playing his first show in front of an audience. When Tery turned fourteen, his first studio recordings were completed with his first band Splurge. At sixteen, Tery’s drumming was heard all over eastern Massachusetts as Ghoul Squad was being played on commercial rock radio (104.7 The Rocket, Pixy 102.9). At age eighteen, Tery managed to graduate high school and get accepted to Berklee College of Music, where he is set to graduate in May ’07. In 2005 at the ripe age of 21, Tery participated in a Study Abroad program in Athens, Greece. There, at The Philipos Nakas Conservatory, he studied Oud, Bouzouki, and Byzantine/Traditional Greek Folk music.

Onur Dilisen

Violin

Onur was born on March 26, 1981 in Izmir, Turkey. His education on the violin began in September 1994 in Izmir. In January 2002, he moved to his mother’s and stepfather’s home in Boston, Massachusetts to pursue his violin studies at the Valeria Kuchment's studio at the Longy School of Music. Onur earned his undergraduate degree in May 2005 and since has been working towards his Graduate Performance Diploma at the Irina Muresanu’s studio at the Boston Conservatory. 

In addition to classical music, Onur enjoys and performs many other styles of music: Blues, Latin, Jazz, Rock, Metal, and Turkish/Middle Eastern. Violin being his main instrument, Onur also plays viola, piano, drums, bass guitar, and guitar.

Onur enjoys playing in Esthema and views it as a great opportunity for him to develop his artistry.

Ignacio Long

Bass

Born in Patagonia, Argentina, Ignacio Long started playing bass at age 15. He studied in Buenos Aires at the EMBA School of Music, and privately with Guillermo Vadalá and César Franov. Later he moved to New York to study at the Bass Collective with various teachers, including Matt Garrison, John Patitucci, Lincoln Goines, among others. Two years later he moved to Boston to study Composition and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music, where graduated on spring 2007. Ignacio has played in several groups in a variety of events and styles, including South American Folk, Rock-Pop, Salsa, Jazz, Latin-Jazz, Tango, and Brazilian music.

Bruno Esrubilsky

Drums/Percussion

Bruno, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, graduated from The Los Angeles Music Academy and began his studies with Gustavo Schröeter at the Centro Musical Antonio Adolfo. In 2002, he started taking lessons with brazilian master drummer Pascoal Meirelles, becoming fluent in afro-cuban rhythms, jazz, and of course, brazilian music. With Pascoal’s support and always aiming for higher goals in his musical studies, in 2004 Bruno started studying at at The LA Music Academy.

While in California, besides studying with world-renown teachers such as Ralph Humphrey, Joe Porcaro, Mike Shapiro, Tony Inzalaco and Jerry Steinholtz, Bruno performed with jazz, rock/funk, afro-cuban and brazilian bands, and recorded with producer Philip Giffin.

Bruno’s experiences span cities, states, countries, and continents. He has played and recorded with a variety of bands and artists such as Yan Guimarães (album Camaleão de Prima), MentSana, Sputnik Fusion Club, Vagenius (USA), The LA Music Academy Funk Ensemble (USA), The LA Music Academy Latin Ensemble (USA), Via77 (album Via77 recorded in Buenos Aires, Argentina), Delta da Maré, Jone Brabo, Roletão Magiro, Radio77, FuZZcas, S.I.M Bossa Techno Sound, Phonopop, 3Steps and Emilio Dantas. In July 2006, he played on the Phonopop European tour traveling throughout England, Ireland, Portugal, Belgium and Spain. He toured Brazil with 3Steps and has recently recorded the new 3Steps album of original compositions. And in 2007, Bruno recorded with singer/songwriter Emilio Dantas (“Aqui, Onde Nao Estou”) and toured Brazil promoting the album.

Since September 2007, Bruno has been at Berklee College of Music majoring in Percussion Performance and Music Business & Management. In Boston, he has recorded and performed live with many groups including the Berklee Klezmer Music Ensemble (playing at the Berklee Performance Center), Michael Gottlieb, Michael Hazani, Pete Matthiessen, Ann Driscoll and recordings for the Berklee Film Scoring Department.
